Section 8 - After a Hike
Post hike follow up
Post hike follow up may be required - it can be as simple as a brief message to everyone in the event with a photo you took saying something like I hope you have all recovered well. Or you may want to send a personal message via Groups.Place to an individual to check in, it’s up to you. It is great if you message any newbies to see how they liked it, and if you can answer any questions for them.
A personalised follow up shows participants that we value them and helps to make them feel welcome.
Incident Reporting
We ask that crew advise Richelle when an incident, or near miss, occurs during a hike. This includes any injuries, or emergency situations. Or even just a confronting conversation. If you are not sure if it needs an incident report, please check with Sarah or Richelle.
Here's a copy of the form. If you are unable to print it out, please provide the details asked for in the form directly in the email.
